Common Issues

GPS coordinates are not appearing

Make sure Location Services are enabled for Stampr in your iOS Settings. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and ensure Stampr is set to "While Using". Also check that "Location Services" is enabled within the Stampr app settings.

Street address is missing or wrong

Street address lookup requires an internet connection. If you're offline, coordinates will still be stamped but the address may be unavailable. In areas with poor mapping coverage, the address may also be inaccurate.

Voice notes are not transcribing

Ensure Stampr has Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions. Go to iOS Settings > Stampr and verify both are enabled. Transcription is performed on-device, so it works offline, but background noise can affect accuracy.

I purchased Stampr Pro but it's not active

Go to Settings within Stampr and tap "Restore Purchase". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the purchase. If the issue persists, contact us.

The app crashed or is not responding

Make sure you're running the latest version of Stampr and iOS. Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the problem continues, restart your device. If it still occurs, contact us with details about what you were doing when it happened.

Photos are not saving to my Camera Roll

Auto-Save to Camera Roll is off by default. Enable it in Stampr Settings. You also need to grant Stampr access to your Photo Library in iOS Settings.

AI Note Cleanup is greyed out

AI Note Cleanup needs a device with Apple Intelligence, enabled in iOS Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. On devices without it, Stampr uses the verbatim on-device transcription instead — nothing is lost.

I can't find my stamped video

Stamped videos save to the Photos app, not the in-app Library. After you stop recording, keep Stampr open until the "Stamped video saved to Photos" confirmation appears — processing takes a few seconds. Saving requires Photos access (Add Photos) in iOS Settings.

A project file (.stamprproj) won't import

Tap the file in Files or AirDrop and it should open straight into Stampr. If it opens a preview instead, use the share icon and choose Stampr, or open Stampr → Library → filter menu → "Import Project…" and pick the file. Make sure both devices are running Stampr 2.0 or later.

Hands-free recording doesn't stop on a noisy site

Hands-free mode listens for about two seconds of silence. Loud machinery can keep it recording — tap the checkmark on the recording bar to finish immediately, or switch to the hold-to-record prompt mode in Settings → Capture → Voice Notes.

The level indicator isn't showing

The bubble level hides when the phone is pointing straight down (a horizon level has no meaning there) and can be turned off entirely in Settings → Capture → Level Indicator.
