Stampr — Privacy Policy

Introduction

Top 7 Systems ("we", "our", "us") built Stampr as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Stampr.

Information We Do Not Collect

Stampr is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or contact details
  • Your GPS location or coordinates
  • Your photos or voice recordings
  • Your device identifiers or IP address
  • Usage analytics or tracking data

Data That Stays With You

All data created within Stampr is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud Sync enabled (see below), in your own private iCloud. It is never sent to us. This includes:

  • Photos — Both original and stamped photos are stored on your device (and in your private iCloud when sync is on).
  • Videos — Stamped videos are processed on-device and saved to your own Photos library.
  • GPS data — Coordinates, altitude, and bearing are used only to stamp your photos (and, if enabled, to embed standard EXIF location metadata in the photo files you choose to share) and are stored on-device.
  • Voice recordings and transcripts — Audio is stored locally with the associated photo. Speech recognition is performed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework.
  • AI note cleanup and tags — On devices with Apple Intelligence, note cleanup and tag suggestions run entirely on-device using Apple's on-device models. Your notes are never sent to us or to any server.
  • Street addresses — Reverse geocoding uses Apple's location services. The resulting address is stored on your device. We do not receive or store this data.
  • Project files — When you choose "Share Project File", Stampr packages your photos and metadata into a file that is shared only through the channels you select (AirDrop, Messages, email, etc.). We never receive a copy.
  • Settings and preferences — Stored locally on your device.

iCloud Sync

Stampr can sync your photos, projects, voice notes, and transcripts between your devices using iCloud. When iCloud Sync is enabled (it is on by default):

  • Your data goes only to your own iCloud. Sync uses the private iCloud (CloudKit) database attached to your Apple Account. This data is accessible only to you. We cannot access, read, or retrieve it. We operate no servers and hold no keys to your iCloud.
  • No accounts, no sign-up. Sync works through the Apple Account already on your device. Stampr has no account system of its own.
  • You can turn it off. Disable iCloud Sync anytime in Stampr's Settings (Data section). With sync off, all data stays only on your device.
  • Apple's terms apply to iCloud. Storage and transmission of your iCloud data are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

iCloud Backup

Separately from sync, if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, Stampr's data may be included in your device backups. This is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Services

Stampr uses the following Apple services:

  • Apple Location Services & Maps — For GPS coordinates, reverse geocoding, and the map imagery shown in the app and in PDF reports. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Speech Framework — For on-device voice transcription. Audio is processed locally and is not sent to Apple's servers.
  • Apple Intelligence (on-device) — For optional AI note cleanup and tag suggestions, processed entirely on your device.
  • iCloud / CloudKit — For optional sync of your data between your own devices, stored in your private iCloud database. See "iCloud Sync" above.
  • App Store / StoreKit — For in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled by Apple.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

In-App Purchases

Stampr Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information. All transactions are handled by Apple.

Children's Privacy

Stampr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Deletion

Your data is under your control at all times. You can delete it by:

  • Deleting individual photos or projects from within the app; with iCloud Sync on, deletions propagate to your other devices as well
  • Turning off iCloud Sync in Stampr's Settings if you no longer want data synced to iCloud
  • Uninstalling Stampr from your device, which removes all local app data (data already synced to your private iCloud remains under your Apple Account's iCloud storage until deleted)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
